Teaching Philosophy
During the 2026 Altalena Music Festival, Kris Dai will provide dual empowerment as a chamber music teacher and a business and art mentor, actively joining in the teaching plan and designing of courses and cross-border workshops, and promoting the music festival shining more brightly from a multi-dimensional perspective.
Biography
Since embarking on his violin studies in 1989, Kris Dai has been luckily taught by four renowned Chinese and foreign masters: Professor Zhang Shixiang, Professor Anna Kandinsky, Professor Vadim Mazo, and Professor Chen Xiang. Relentless in his pursuit of violin- playing technical ability for thirty-six years, he has accumulated an artistic expression that combines the profound heritage with the unique personality. During his student years, he stood out in numerous domestic and international solo and chamber music competitions, winning many honors and laying a solid foundation for his professional career.
Since 2015, Kris Dai has successively released three personal albums: I‘ll Stand by You, Back to Cremona, and Insight the Beauty. With his delicate interpretation and distinctive musical perspective, he has earned high praises from a wide range of music lovers and made himself a violinist with both outstanding performing skills and creative depth.

These years on the international stage, Kris Dai ,as a regular guest-violinist,was invited to participate in many global music festivals: In 2019, invited by the municipal government of Pescia, Italy, he held two solo concerts during the Puccini Music Festival, engaging in a musical dialogue on the classic works From the East to the West; In 2021, on the stage of the "Future Masters Series" at the Shanghai Oriental Art Center, he perfectly performed the complete set of Brahms' Violin and Piano Sonatas, demonstrating his profound artistic skills; In 2023, at the invitation of the Prague Municipal Government, he served as a special performer and professional teacher at the Ameropa Music Festival, conveying the artistic charm of the violin; In 2025, invited by the Italian Violin Association, he gave a solo concert at the Concert Hall of the Cremona Violin Museum, and collaborated with master luthier Marco Piccinotti to participate in the shooting of the documentary The Inheritance of Violins, linking artistic performance with the inheritance of craftsmanship.

Kris Dai is a practitioner of cross-border integration and an all-round musician integrating performance, teaching and collection. Since 2019, he has collaborated with many international luxury brands, including the Spanish porcelain art brand LLADRO, the Italian fragrance brand Acqua di Parma, and the Chinese high-end couture brand 源Blanc de Chine. By innovatively integrating world-famous violins, artist charm and interactive experiences, he has injected unique artistic vitality into brand public relations activities and created cross-border feasts with both aesthetic feeling and memorable impressions.

For twenty years,Kris Dai has been deeply engaged in the field of teaching and formed a unique style characterized by ease, humor and accessibility. He is good at interpreting performing skills through life insights, guiding students to go beyond simple skill practice and conceive musical language and convey emotional core from the perspective of a "director". He has carefully cultivated many outstanding students, including those admitted to the top domestic and foreign music colleges, performers in well-known domestic orchestras, and young musicians who have got great achievements in various international competitions, illuminating the artistic path of the younger generation with professionalism and love.
