Biography
Sarah Harrigan is a Canadian violinist currently established in Paris. A curious and versatile musician, she is passionate about a wide spectrum of sound, ranging from historically informed performance to contemporary repertoire.

As a chamber musician, she has performed extensively across North America and Europe, appearing at festivals such as the New Brunswick Summer Music Festival, the Saint John Early Music Festival, the International Chamber Music Festival of Ochsenhausen, the Festival de Saintes, the Lunenberg Academy of Performance, and within the Jeunesses Musicales Canada network.

In 2021, she founded the Festival de Musique de Chambre du Lac Baker, where she continues to serve as artistic director, with a strong commitment to bringing high-quality chamber music to rural communities in her home province.

As an orchestral musician, Sarah regularly performs with renowned ensembles including the Orchestre des Champs-Élysées, Les Musiciens du Louvre, the Orchestre de l’Opéra Royal de Versailles, the Orchestre des Lauréats du Conservatoire, and Insula Orchestra.

She has also held a position with the Chamber Orchestra of the Triangle in the United States.

A graduate with distinction, Sarah earned her Master of Music and Artist Diploma under the guidance of Ida Bieler at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts.

She also studied at the Royal Academy of Music in London.

Her interest in early music has led her to specialize further in baroque violin, studying with leading figures such as Sigiswald Kuijken and Amandine Beyer, and performing with the Jeune Orchestre de l’Abbaye in France.
